RESTORING YOUR SETTINGS & MESSAGES AFTER FORMATTING A SYMBIAN PHONE

Before you format your symbian phone, you may wish to keep your settings and text messages.

All you need to do is backup/copy the listed items below to your memory card, then copy back to its original location after formatting. And then your previous settings or items will be restored.
NB: When re-copying back to the phone, If it asks to replace, select Yes.
Use any suitable file explorer e.g X-plore to perform this task.

if you can't copy it, then that means the system is using it, just go to Tools-Memory-Options then BackUp Phone Memory, after that, then try copying again.

Browser bookmark

Text Messages (inbox, drafts, saved messages, e-mails, etc)
C:\Private\1000484b\ then copy the mail2 folder.
